The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot, but the best aspect was the Christmas decorations in the lobby, they were beautiful and really set the holiday mood. Plus, the hotel was in a great location, close to all the shops and restaurants we wanted to visit.
Our experience was marred by the noisy room. the walls were paper thin and we could hear everything from the room next door.

I liked the accessibility to the centre of Canterbury
Comfort of the room let down by no control on the scalding hot heated towel rail which made the bathroom uncomfortably hot. Stair carpet very worn in places & dangerous. No lift and steep stairs made it difficult for my husband who walks with a stick - we had not been made aware of this.

The reception staff were very friendly, and it was cheap.
tv reception was very poor, floorboards were very creaky which meant the room was very noisy with other guests moving about, the whole building felt run down

Easy and free parking at a city centre location.
Hotel is a bit shabby, especially the stairs and hallways. Also the floorboards are very creaky.

You'll find shops and bars within a stone's throw, making it a perfect base for exploring. The staff is incredibly helpful and attentive, ensuring that your needs are met throughout your stay. The rooms are basic but clean, with a good shower and a comfortable bed for a restful night's sleep. It's also worth mentioning that the prices here are very reasonable, offering great value for money. Plus, having breakfast included with a variety of hot and cold options is a fantastic bonus.
All in all, our stay at this hotel was more than satisfactory.

Not much!!
The room was very small and my wife and I had to share a 4 foot double bed!! Normally a double bed is at least 4 foot 6 inches and I am 6 foot 3 inches. The only good thing was that it was very intimate!! The TV did not work and when we asked foir extra biscuits for our coiffee, we were told there was non available. There were also no savoury snacks in the bar. When we complained again when we were checking out the receptionist would only say that the hotel was due to close soon!!

The staff were extremely helpful and the bedroom was fine
The condition of the corridors was absolutely disgusting and the common areas of the hotel need a complete revamp

The lack of a lift in the hotel, which could be a challenge with mobility issues.

The Hotel is well located for easy access to the shops and sights and offers good value. The staff were pleasant, helpful and efficient.
The hotel itself is rather "tired" and would benefit greatly from a modest refurbishment.

Staff were great, breakfast was okay
TV did not work but we were moved to an upgrade (even better value for £55). Floors creaked, but all part of the charm of the hotel
